ABOUT
Hi! My name is Adole Muruako, and I am a licensed professional counselor with a PhD in health outcomes and a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology.

My passion for mental health developed gradually as I worked in underserved communities, where I witnessed the impact of mental health on individuals. This, along with my personal healing journey, led me to pursue a master's degree in clinical mental health counseling.

I've conducted research on chronic disease and implemented health promotion initiatives in the Mississippi Delta region. I taught various community health promotion courses using acclaimed and recognized curricula.

I am a passionate counselor focused on integrating physical and holistic health into the counseling room, and within healthcare organizations. I currently work with Arise Psychiatry, located in Oxford, MS.

Counseling Practice
In your pursuit of well-being, I integrate the empowering principles of Acceptance and Commitment, alongside the proven techniques of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. Through these methods, I offer compassionate guidance that encourages you to gently embrace your inner emotions, rather than avoiding or struggling with them. It's important to recognize that your deeper feelings are often valid responses.

Navigating the complexities of unresolved trauma, general stress, and the longing for both physical and emotional healing can understandably feel like a daunting task. However, please rest assured that you are not alone on this profound journey. I am here with an open heart to truly hear and understand your experiences, and my aim is to empower you to regain control over your well-being.

Together, we can embark on a transformative journey toward healing, where you are supported every step of the way. Your path to healing is unique, and I am honored to walk beside you as you discover your own inner strength and resilience.

Chronic Disease Self-Management Groups
I am pleased to offer a supportive chronic disease self-management group, tailored for adults with at least one chronic health condition.
